A Room With a View

We are still getting settled into our apartment, but the world outside of our four walls is pretty well in order.

Our divine neighbor, as seen from our balcony.

The bells go “bing bong” every 15 minutes.  Before mass, weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc. they ring for five – ten minutes at a time.  It’s G*d’s way of getting back at me for all the years I’ve been questioning the church.

The kids have to wear little reflectors when walking to school.  It’s cute enough to make me melt.

  1. reflectors? is it dark when they are walking to school? awesome views, what a dreamy city you’re living in

  2. It’s not dark when they’re walking – yet. My understanding is it stays dark late here, so maybe there is a greater intent.

  3. What you said above about the church bell is funny. I hear the church bell every few hours, can’t imagine hearing it whenever something is happening at the church.

    • You become oddly immune to the sound and luckily, our windows and bedroom are fairly well insulated :-).
