Villa Belvedere

On our trip to Tuscany, we stayed at a place called Villa Belvedere.  It was amazing.  Set back off the road, hidden amongst the olive trees and vineyards, we had a peaceful few days relaxing and enjoying some sun (with a few side trips thrown in so we didn’t feel like total sloths).  I highly recommend this hotel if you ever get to Tuscany.  It’s nothing fancy, but if you’re looking to unwind and step back for a bit, this is the place.  We found it to be so quiet and peaceful – we weren’t even quite sure anyone worked there, though breakfast was available in the a.m. and rooms would be clean when we returned, so someone had to be doing something.  It’s just the kind of place one goes to unplug. And given the year we’ve had, it was a much needed and welcome respite.
